All of the spices that are a part of what makes the popular "pumpkin spice" are good for magick connected to protection and prosperity. 

The ingredients of pumpkin spice are:
Cinnamon - This is a high vibration spice. It can add heat to any spell working. Often used in money and prosperity magick. It can help to create movement and shift things into a higher drive.

Ginger - Another high vibration herb that brings the heat. Ginger is stimulating; adding energy to love spells, money spells, and overall prosperity. 

Nutmeg - This is an herb of protection. Nutmegs can be carried as a protection talisman. It has historically been a cure-all, able to help ease a wide range of ailments. 

Allspice - This is an herb of virility. It can help to uplift stick energy. Traditionally this herb has been used in luck and love magick. It is also a popular aphrodisiac. 

Cloves - A great healing herb. Cloves are also stimulating. Magickally, cloves are connected to protection and courage.

In a mortar and pestle, combine:
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
1/4 teaspoon ginger
1/2 a whole grated nutmeg
1 allspice berry
1 clove

Mash all the ingredients into a fine powder. As you grind, focus your thoughts on protection and prosperity.  Feel the herbs being infused with that energy. You might even consider chanting the words over and over again as you grind.

Store your herbs in a sealed jar. Add a sprinkle of your spice mixture to your coffees, desserts, or anything else. Every time you use the mixture, remember that it is infused with protection and prosperity and call that in while you consume what you have made. 

So Mote It Be!

Perform this spell when you want to block out negative energy and call more positive vibes into your world. For this spell you will need a small clear bottle that can fit in your pocket. Keep in mind that all the other objects needed must fit in the jar, so don't go too small.

For this spell you will need:
*Small Clear Bottle, with a top (small enough to fit in your pocket)
*Cleansing Incense (sage, cedar, dragon's blood)
*Tiny Protection Stone (black tourmaline, hematite, or onyx)
*Tiny Citrine Stone
*Chamomile
*Yellow Chime Candle

Use the incense to cleanse the empty bottle. When that process feels complete take a moment to breathe and clear your energy. Focus on good vibes and positivity. Allow that to fill you up like you are a vessel of joy. When you feel ready start the process of creating your jar.

Add in the stones and then fill the jar with the chamomile. Seal the top of the jar with the lid and then drip melted wax from the yellow candle to seal it up. Hold the completed jar in your hands and fill it with that positive energy that you built up. Hold that for as long as feel right. When complete carry the jar with you anytime it is needed.

In the morning before you start to get ready for your day light the glass encased candle. As you do this focus on how you would like your day to proceed. If you need a little luck, call that in. If you need peace, call that in. If you want adventure, call that in. This is an opportunity to check in with the day ahead and ask for what you need.

Sit in meditation or contemplation for at least five minutes. When you feel ready, write down anything interesting or important that came up for you during your quiet reflection.

Anoint yourself with the Blessing Oil. Anoint the crystal with the Blessing Oil and speak out loud your desire for the day. Carry the crystal with you and extinguish the candle. At the end of your day return the crystal to sit next to the candle.

Ceromancy is the art of divination using candle wax. It is a fun and playful way to seek answers where you are feeling stuck. You will want to have peace and quiet while you do this magick. Make sure your space is clean and you can be uninterrupted for at least thirty minutes. 

For this working you will need:
*Medium Sized Bowl of Cold Water
*One White Taper Candle

Have the lights low and light the candle. Give yourself some time to ground and center yourself. Let go of any distractions or negative energy. Breathe deeply and focus on your center. Call all of your energy into your center. 

When you feel ready focus your thoughts on where you are feeling stuck. Pick up the candle and carefully tip the candle sideways to allow the hot wax to drop into the bowl of water. As the drops hit the water notice what shapes they form into. Can you divine any messages, signs, or symbols in the shapes of the wax? 

Do this process for as long as you feel called.

Mirrors are a powerful magickal tool. One that is often overlooked. Mirrors are portals. They hold energy. They can help you to reflect negativity away from you. A Moon Blessing Mirror is one that has "drawn down" the energy of the moon. This is a tool to help you connect with Full Moon energy. With this mirror you can offer Moon Blessings to yourself and others. You can also use it to reveal secrets and allow the truth to come forward.

For this working you will need:
*Compact Mirror
*Small Bowl of Salt Water
*Incense - something floral is best, but anything will do
*One White Candle (of any size or shape)

This working should be completed on the night of the Full Moon. Set up your ritual space with all of the items listed above. Light the incense and the candle.

Use the salt water to cleanse the face of the mirror. As you sprinkle the water say this:
By water and earth

Use the mirror to reflect the candle so that you can see the flame through the reflection in the mirror. Say this:
By fire and flame

Then use do the same with the incense, allowing the smoke to float over the mirror's surface. Say this:
By smoke and scent

Set the mirror down in a widow ledge or somewhere you can see the moon reflected in it. Say this:

Extinguish the candle and leave the mirror overnight to catch the rays of the moon.

The history behind the Four Thieves Vinegar is a fascinating one! The story goes, during the plague, there were four thieves that continued to break into the homes of the sick, the dead, and the dying to steal their riches. Somehow these four people were able to avoid getting sick. When they were finally captured, they were able trade their freedom for the secret to what kept them from catching the plague when they entered homes of the ill. Each of the thieves contributed one ingredient to the formula.

This history has turned the recipe for Four Thieves Vinegar into a heal all. This formula is also used in banishing spells. The folklore tells us that this formula can banish illness, negative energy, and those that mean you harm!

For this recipe you will need:
*3 Cups of High Quality Apple Cider Vinegar
*4 Cloves of Garlic - Crushed (or more cloves if you like!)
*Tablespoon of Black Pepper
*Teaspoon of Chili Pepper
*Tablespoon of Dried Rosemary

Put all of the ingredients into a glass jar with a sealable lid. Pour the vinegar over the top until you fill the glass - put on the lid. Shake every day for four days before using. 

To use: drink a tablespoon every day. Especially during cold and flu season.

When you feel like you're a bit stuck perform this spell to help you clear up any obstacles. This bath is best done when you aren't sure what step to take or what to do.

For this ritual you will need:
*One dozen lemons
*One dozen limes
*Bottle of Orange Blossom Water
*Two Cups of Salt

Fill the bathtub with hot water, as hot as you can handle it. Quarter the fruits, squeeze them into the tub, and toss in the rinds. Pour in the bottle of Orange Blossom Water. Add in one of the cups of salt. Finally get into the tub. Rub the rinds on your skin, especially places where you feel stuck energy - don't forget your back. Take your time with this process and soak for as long as you feel called.

When your cleansing process feels complete, get out of the tub and air dry. You are likely to be sticky. Leave the residue on for as long as possible. Use the second cup of salt to scrub any other places on your body that might still feel stuck. Finally, get into the shower and rinse off.

If you feel that you've had some negative energy thrown your way, it might be time to cast a hex breaking spell. 

For this spell you will need the following supplies:
*One Lemon
*Small Dish of Salt
*Small Bowl of Blessed or Holy Water
*Small Plate
*Three Chime Candles (black, white, red)
*Cleansing Incense 
*Athame

Create an altar space with all of the above items. Set the three candles in a triangle shape around your working space and light each of the candles. Light the incense and keep it burning throughout your ritual process. Speak out loud your desire for this hex to be broken and for your path to be unblocked. Repeat this statement as often as you feel called during the spell.

Pick up your athame and pass it through the incense smoke, the flame of each candle, and finally, dip it into the blessed water. Use your athame to slice the lemon into three sections. Dip each of the lemon sections into the water and then into the salt and place them on the small plate.

Move the candles around the plate and let them burn out completely. Leave the altar space set up until the lemons begin to dry out. When they are completely dry, leave them at a crossroad or drop them into running water. If the lemons start to mold or rot, you will need to start this ritual over again.
