5/13/2024 0 Comments Midsummer SpellSummer Solstice is at the same time as the Feast of Saint John the Baptist. It is the longest day of the year, where we have the most amount of daylight. It is traditional (both for the Solstice and for Saint John's Feast) to celebrate this time of the year with a bonfire. This spell requires the use of a bonfire; so make sure you practice good fire safety!
Gather the following herbs and woods, wildcraft them if you can: *Mugwort *Apple *Oak *Chamomile *Thyme Create a fire with whatever wood is easiest for you. Add the woods and herbs from the list to the fire. Cleanse yourself in the smoke. Run any of your magickal tools through the smoke as well. Spend time around the fire and notice if there are any messages for you in the flames. When the fire goes out and the coals are completely cool, gather some of the ashes to use in your magick for the rest of the year.
