Mercury Retrograde Spell

Now that we are in the grip of Mercury Retrograde, I thought I would share the spell that I perform when I need a little help from the ravages of Mercury Rx. (Yes, I'm intentionally being dramatic here.)

For this spell you will need the following items:

• A glass encased candle, ideally either grey, green, or white
• A pinch of cinnamon, thyme, and mullein
• A dash of olive oil 
• Mercury symbol

Write on the glass of the candle the symbol for Mercury. Around the top of the glass write your name. Poke three holes in the top of the wax of the candle. Add the herbs and the oil. 
While you go through this process speak out loud to Mercury/Hermes. Ask for his help and assistance during this period of Retrograde. Let him know that you are lighting this candle as an offering to him, so that he might grant you ease and flow.
Light the candle and burn it every day during the Mercury Retrograde period.
