Cleansing Floor Wash

Floor washing is a folk magickal way of cleansing your home or living space of negative energy. Cleansing can be done at any time, but especially after a challenging period, fight, or when dealing with a string of bad luck. Floor washes are exactly what they sound like. It is a magickal mixture that you use to wash the floors. It takes a lot of work, but it will totally shift energy.

This spell is best performed on a new moon. Make sure you have a solid intention of cleansing and clearing out stuck or negative energy through all of the steps of this spell.

For this spell you will need:
-One cup of dried basil
-One cup of dried hyssop
-One cup of dried pine needles

Mix all the dried herbs together in a large bowl. Split the mixture into groups depending on what type of flooring you have. For example, in my house we have about half hard floor and half carpeting. So I would split the mixture half in half.

Carpeting
For carpeting keep the herbs dry and mix them with a bit (like two big tablespoons) of baking soda. Sprinkle this on your carpet and then vacuum it up.

Hard Floors
Fill a big pot with water and place it on the stove. Add the herb mixture and bring the water to a boil. Remove from the heat and let it cool completely. Once cool, strain out all of the herbs and add a tablespoon of vinegar. Use this water to wash your floors and countertops.
