Mercury Amelioration Spell

When Mercury goes into Retrograde you don't have to suffer at the hands of cruel fate. You can work with the energy of that planet, and the deity it is named after, to help ameliorate some of the potentially negative energies of the Retrograde period.

For this spell you will need:
*Image of Statue of Mercury/Hermes
*Yellow or Orange Chime Candle
*Communication Oil
*Communication Stone (Quartz or Kyanite)
*Cleansing Herbs for Smoke (Rosemary or Cedar)

Set up an altar with all of the items listed above, placing the image of Mercury in the center. Carve the symbol for Mercury into your candle and anoint it with the Communication Oil. Light the herbs and use them to cleanse the space, the stone, and yourself. As you do this focus on clearing communications. When you feel complete, anoint the stone with the Communication Oil.

Take a moment to center yourself and light the candle. As you do speak out loud to Mercury/Hermes. Ask for his wisdom, guidance, and protection during the Retrograde period. Ask that he step in on your behalf to keep communication moving smoothly and easily. Speak from your heart.

As the candle burns continue to hold a focus on clear communication. When the candle is done, carry the stone with you and anoint it with the Communication Oil anytime things get a little messy throughout the Retrograde period.
