Lughnasadh Spell

August 1st marks the pagan holiday of Lughnasadh, or as more recently called Lammas. This is a celebration of the harvest season beginning. It is a great time to look at what you are going to be harvesting, what is growing and thriving, and what might need more of your attention before the cold part of the year arrives. This is both literally and metaphorically.

For this spell you will need:
*Journal
*Bowl of Fruits
*Glass Encased Candle
*Blessing Oil

Set up your altar with all of the items above. Light the candle and perhaps play some music. Sit down and write out what you are getting ready to harvest. What is coming into fruition in your life? Where are the places that need more tending? Where do you need to focus your energy now? Write these things down and make a list of the things that you are ready to harvest.

Speak each item out loud and then eat a piece of the fruit. Give yourself a moment to honor and celebrate the fruit of your harvest. Anoint yourself with the Blessing Oil.
